Our Operations The Outpatient Care Department in Uppsala is located at Kronparksgården in the beautiful natural setting of Ulleråker and has approximately 70 employees. We are a department with capacity for 30 patients. We primarily care for elderly patients who need inpatient care but do not require the hospital's specialist resources. Common reasons for admission include pain management and mobilization, infections, dehydration from heart failure, and unsustainable home situations, among others. Patients are admitted from the Mobile Outpatient Care Team, health centers, or the emergency department at Akademiska Hospital. Here we work in teams with the patient in focus. As a nursing assistant, you work closely with patients performing standard nursing assistant tasks. With us you become part of a wonderful team with mixed ages, genders, and experiences. We support each other and help one another. You are never alone! Your Assignment As a nursing assistant with us, you work together with the rest of the team to meet the patient's care needs. You observe, assess, perform, and evaluate care. Your work tasks include inserting catheters, turning patients, taking cultures, monitoring vital signs, and more. You will also be trained to draw blood samples as needed. Beyond providing the best possible care to our patients, we actively work on continuous evaluation and development of our operations. We work together to create a cohesive care process where everyone knows their role and can contribute to clarity and security for patients and their families. We work on a 10-week schedule that includes day shifts, evening shifts, and weekends. We hold regular nursing assistant meetings and training for employees. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with a certificate of protected professional title for nursing assistants from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Experience working in inpatient care is a requirement. If you are a specialist nursing assistant, that is an asset but not a requirement. As a person, you are flexible, unpretentious, have good communication skills, and take initiative to provide good care. You value your role as a nursing assistant highly and put the patient at the center; you are empathetic with the desire and ability to see patients' needs. Through your commitment, positive attitude, and collaboration skills, you contribute to a good work environment. We also see that you want to be involved in developing the department. You should enjoy working with patients and their families. You put the patient in focus and are responsible and motivated in your work. With us there is a high flow of patients, which requires that you are flexible and able to prioritize your work. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. Want to Know More?
