The Medical Department is a general medicine department consisting of 21 inpatient beds and a day care service that manages a subacute flow of patients who receive treatment during the day and can then go home. The Medical Department is part of the Business Area (VO) Acute and Medicine and has approximately 270 employees. Within our VO, we conduct operations in cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, and neurology. On the medical department, we treat not just a specific diagnosis but consider the whole individual. We are in an exciting phase where we have recently moved our department to newly renovated premises that will give us the opportunity to care for more patients in both our inpatient and day care services and develop new working methods to create high nursing quality. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES On the department, we care for adults, often multimorbid patients who mainly come from the emergency department. Diagnoses that commonly occur with us are heart failure, COPD, anemias, infections, diabetes, and cognitive impairment. With us, you develop in working interdisciplinarily with the internal medicine patient at the center. You work close to the patient in a team with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. It is important that you are confident in and comfortable performing daily care and tasks that include monitoring vital parameters, taking samples, and documenting in both the patient record and in the cooperation system Mina Planer. This is an important part of what a nursing assistant does on our department and is crucial for patients to receive good and safe care. We are looking for two nursing assistants for permanent employment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title regardless of whether you studied according to earlier or current program structure, preferably with a focus on acute care/health care. You have good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing. It is an advantage if you have several years of experience in hospital care. We would like to see that you have experience working in a medical department before. Personal qualities we value are that you are positive, engaged, and have a desire to develop in your role as a nursing assistant.
