Welcome to apply to Hedbacka! Your Assignment As a nursing assistant with us, you work with care and support in the residents' daily lives. You help the residents with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, meals, laundry, cleaning, and social activities. Through your work, you contribute to creating security, participation, and a good quality of life for each individual. Your duties also include documentation and development of care plans. Together with colleagues, unit managers, and nurses, you work as a team to ensure that residents receive their approved services in the best possible way. You also perform certain health and medical care tasks according to delegation. We work based on Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC), a person-centered approach within social services that is based on each individual's resources, needs, and goals. IBIC helps provide individualized support to people who need help with daily living activities, regardless of age or functional limitations, in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Services for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). Working hours are arranged in day, evening, and weekend shifts according to a rotating schedule. Description of the Workplace Hedbacka is a care facility with a dementia focus, located in beautiful natural surroundings in Söderala just outside Söderhamn. The facility has 49 places distributed across seven units. Each unit has a cozy common room and dining room where residents can eat their meals and socialize in a safe and comfortable environment. For shared activities and celebrations, there is also a larger gathering space where we meet for various events and celebrations. At Hedbacka, we work to create a meaningful, secure, and joyful daily life for our residents. Therefore, we offer activities several times a week, such as music sessions, baking, walks, and shared outings. The activities are designed based on the residents' interests, wishes, and abilities to promote participation and well-being. During the summer months, our large and lush garden is a natural meeting place where we enjoy spending time and conducting various outdoor activities. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with a genuine interest in working with people, where the residents' needs and wishes are always in focus. It is a merit if you have previous experience working in elderly care, with people with dementia, or with people with disabilities. You have good computer skills and speak and write Swedish well, as the work involves documentation and communication with colleagues, residents, and family members. As a person, you are engaged, responsible, and see opportunities in your work. You willingly take initiative, share your knowledge and experience, and actively contribute to good cooperation and a positive work environment. You are attentive, flexible, and have the ability to adapt your working methods based on each individual's needs and circumstances. You treat people with calmness, respect, and care, and have good pedagogical skills to create security and understanding in your interactions with others. We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, thorough, and takes responsibility for your work.
