Fredslund is a care and residential facility located in Hasslerör, seven kilometers north of Mariestad. It offers a pleasant countryside environment where residents can socialize with others or find a quiet corner. Walking trails surround the facility. We have four units at Fredslund, one of which is dedicated to the Finnish administrative area, meaning we also have Finnish-speaking residents and staff. At Fredslund, we also offer respite care options. We are now seeking five nursing assistants for fixed-term positions of 6 months, with good prospects for extensions. WORK DUTIES Work duties include personal care, delegated nursing tasks, social interaction, and daily activities. The role also involves close collaboration with unit managers, assistant unit managers, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. We work with contact person assignments and ombudsman roles, where you as an employee have the opportunity to develop and contribute to the development of our operations. At Fredslund, we offer various activities for residents according to their preferences and interests, carried out by care staff. Examples of activities include reading newspapers/books, baking, seated exercise, walking tours, music puzzles, reading cafés, walks, films, entertainment pubs, puzzles, and board games. Different churches visit Fredslund regularly. Various forms of entertainment such as dance bands, accordions, and other entertainment occur regularly, which are much appreciated. We work day, evening, and weekend shifts. The positions we are now announcing are temporary contracts for six months, starting as soon as possible by agreement. After the temporary period, there may be opportunities for continued work at one of our units here at Fredslund. Together with our 40 fantastic employees, we make a difference for our service users. You are warmly welcome to become part of us! QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and preferably has previous work experience with elderly people. You should have knowledge of dementia and psychological distress and be attentive to the service user's needs. We also see that you are a confident person in meeting with care recipients and possess good care knowledge. It is important that you as a person are organized and flexible and can adapt quickly to changes. You are driven and curious about learning new things and developing in your professional role. Since we work a lot with activities, it is an advantage if you are a resourceful and creative person. You are expected to have good knowledge of Swedish both verbally and in writing. The work also requires computer skills so you can document and access written documentation in the systems the facility uses. All to ensure good and safe care.
