With us, all clients are within walking and cycling distance, and work hours include days, evenings, and every other weekend. The Support, Care and Welfare Administration is divided into the business areas functional support and elderly care. Our core operations involve providing care, assistance, and rehabilitation for the elderly as well as providing support and services to people with disabilities, always with the individual's needs at the center. RESPONSIBILITIES As a nursing assistant in elderly care in Kristinehamn municipality, you work with support, care, and assistance to people in their daily lives. All services are based on the client's individual needs. The work takes place in and around the client's own home, and your responsibility includes creating conditions for good quality of life and a meaningful existence for those we serve. Delegated tasks from nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists are part of the work. Pool shifts are included in the position, meaning you will work at other units within home care. Your role includes: Care Services • Help clients with personal care such as showering, dressing, and toileting. • Support clients at meals and ensure they receive food and drink according to individual needs. • Carry out certain health, medical, and rehabilitation services in consultation with licensed personnel. • Ensure the client has a safe and secure home environment. Service Tasks • Perform daily household chores such as laundry, cleaning, dishes, and bed-making. • Assist with certain errands. Social Services and Documentation • Monitor and document the client's condition in our digital systems. • Communicate important information to relatives, colleagues, and other professionals. • Create social contact and promote the client's mental well-being through conversation and community. QUALIFICATIONS Formal Competencies • Nursing assistant education, as it is necessary to accept certain healthcare delegations. • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, based on requirements for communication and documentation. • Basic IT skills. • B-driver's license is advantageous. Personal Competencies We are looking for someone who is self-directed and takes responsibility for planning and carrying out your work with the client in focus. You are flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances and various needs that arise in daily life. As a person, you are stable, secure, and maintain a professional demeanor even in challenging situations. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work environment by working well with colleagues, clients, and relatives. Furthermore, you are service-oriented and have a genuine interest in helping others. You work quality-consciously, follow procedures, and ensure that care maintains high standards. We also see that you are creative and solution-oriented, with the ability to find new ways to meet each client's individual needs in the best way possible. You are a good colleague and feel responsibility for your assignment and participate in work groups that develop the operations. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-10-12 or earlier if possible.
