We are now hiring a temporary nursing assistant and a nursing assistant for a permanent position at Bryggaregatan 6:1! Who Are We? With approximately 3,000 employees, the care and welfare office is the municipality's second-largest department. Our primary mission is to meet the needs of support, care, and welfare for people at different stages of life. We are also responsible for providing meals to preschools, schools, and care and welfare office operations. Bryggaregatan is located in central Norrköping and is a specialized residential facility focused on dementia care with 26 apartments distributed across two departments. The operation runs 24/7, every day of the week, year-round. Your Work Tasks As a nursing assistant with us, you support and assist residents with personal care, meals, activities, and training. Your responsibilities also include documentation, contact person duties, creating and updating care plans, follow-ups, medication management, and maintaining apartments and common areas. You work closely with your colleagues, nurses, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and supervisor. Together, you ensure that our residents are doing well and receive the help and support they wish for and need. The goal is always for residents to have the opportunity to continue living an active life with a meaningful daily routine. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is trained as a nursing assistant according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations, and we would appreciate it if you have a couple of years of experience working in care and welfare. If you have knowledge of behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia (BPSD) and experience in dementia care, we see this as a plus. As a person, you have a genuine interest in working with the elderly, and you are responsive and empathetic in your interactions. You adapt your communication based on the person you are meeting and put the user's needs at the center. You contribute with a positive attitude to the work team and share knowledge and information with your colleagues. Since we work with people, we see that you thrive in an environment with natural changes in pace throughout the workday and prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance. You make decisions based on available information and weigh possible alternatives. The position requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
