With us, you get to work with a schedule that differs from the rest of the home care service. We have daytime, evenings until 19:00, and what we call half-nights until 00:00. We work every other weekend. We follow our clients' schedules, but as an employee with us, you can influence your own schedule. The Support, Care and Welfare Administration is divided into the business areas of functional support and elderly care. Our core operation is to provide care, support and rehabilitation for the elderly, as well as to provide support and services to people with disabilities, always with the individual's needs at the center. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a home care assistant in home care, you work to create security and trust for our clients. IBIC—the individual's needs at the center—is the foundation of our work. All interventions are based on the client's individual needs. As a home care assistant, you will have the responsibility of being a designated care contact. We work with continuity where the goal is for clients to meet their designated care contact as often as possible. The work takes place in and around the client's own home, and your responsibility includes creating conditions for good quality of life and meaningful existence for the clients we serve. Documentation is an important part of the work. Delegated tasks from nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists are part of the job. Pool shifts are included in the position, which means you will then work at other units within home care. We work in five teams within our Ådalen area. You will be part of one of the teams and serve as a designated care contact for one of our clients. Within the team, we collaborate on our clients with the interventions they have been granted by the Assistance Unit. Common work tasks with our clients include personal care based on need. Help with meals. We also perform cleaning and laundry for clients who have that need. Social interaction and walks are work tasks that occur in home care. QUALIFICATIONS Formal Competencies • Home care assistant education, as it is necessary to undertake certain Health and Social Care Act delegations. • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, based on requirements for communication and documentation. • Basic IT skills. • Category B driving license, as we are a car-based group. Personal Competencies We are looking for someone who is self-directed and takes responsibility for planning and carrying out your work with the client in focus. You are flexible and can adapt to changed circumstances and different needs that arise in daily life. As a person, you are stable, confident, and maintain a professional approach even in challenging situations. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work environment by working well with colleagues, clients, and family members. Furthermore, you are service-oriented and have a genuine interest in helping others. You work with quality awareness, follow procedures, and ensure that care maintains high quality. We also see that you are creative and solution-oriented, with the ability to find new ways to meet each client's individual needs in the best way. You are a good colleague and feel responsibility for your assignment and participate in working groups that develop the operation. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Indefinite, start date: 2026-10-12 or by agreement.
