Nursing Assistants and Care Personnel, Väst-Teg Care and Residential Facility

Elder care in Umeå Municipality aims to be a resource that, through proximity and collaboration, frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life. Väst-Teg Care and Residential Facility is a municipally owned newly built residence located in Väst-Teg. The facility opened in fall 2024. In total, there are 120 apartments distributed across 12 units, with each unit consisting of 10 apartments. Each unit has its own spacious balcony. On the ground floor, there is a café and a glass-enclosed outdoor area. Väst-Teg's premises also include a production kitchen. We are now recruiting both nursing assistants and care personnel for our team! Your responsibilities With a professional approach and good service, you will assist our residents in their daily lives. The residents' right to have a say is in focus, and you will contribute to ensuring that services are provided with good quality, in accordance with care decisions and implementation plans. You will assist with personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, meals, and other services. Your responsibilities also include documenting measures and health status, as well as medical tasks delegated by the responsible nurse. Working hours are scheduled for daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. About you For the nursing assistant positions, we are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with experience working in elder care. We particularly welcome candidates with prior experience in dementia care. For the care personnel position, we are looking for someone with experience working in elder care. We consider it a merit if you have a care qualification and experience in dementia care. Your interaction with residents requires strong competence based on personal suitability, maturity, and empathetic ability. You demonstrate great commitment to both residents and the operation in all relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently, are patient and initiative-taking. You have good ability to collaborate with colleagues, family members, and other professionals. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. To communicate with residents, family members, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Heavy lifting occurs; handling aids must be used. Employment information Nursing Assistant: Three permanent positions, full-time, starting as soon as possible by agreement. Care Personnel: One permanent position, full-time, starting as soon as possible by agreement. Two temporary positions, full-time, starting as soon as possible until August 31, 2027.
