Are you a trained nursing assistant who enjoys working nights in a varied role? Then this position might be perfect for you. Support in Ordinary Housing is a department within the Division for Elderly and Disability Services with the task of providing support and assistance services to older persons. Units within Support in Ordinary Housing include home care, night and alarm patrol, safe return home, and a dementia team. We have approximately 600 employed nursing assistants and care aides. Together we work to provide our clients with the best care and service. The night patrol provides services for users both over and under 65 years of age with Night Assistance or digital supervision as an approved support service. The work ranges from simple physical or digital supervision visits to more extensive care needs. The night patrol does not have medical responsibility—that is handled by other providers. We have 17 staff members who support each other, a group leader, and a Unit Manager. We operate from Jakobsberg Center and work throughout Järfälla Municipality! WORK TASKS The night patrol provides assistance to persons according to a planning schedule containing the services the person has been granted. Continuity is important so that users feel secure in when and by whom the services are provided. Since the work is performed in the user's home, it is important to be able to adapt flexibly with both professional manner and great sensitivity to the user's daily condition. Your duties include being a Fixed Care Contact where you are responsible for, among other things, implementation plans in collaboration with your colleagues in your team. You will also have other administrative tasks such as ongoing social documentation, handovers to other home care providers, collaboration with the Alarm Patrol, etc. Smoking and pets may be present in some clients' homes. The night patrol has five car teams running each night and you always work in pairs at clients' homes, except for two single-staffed cars where one person works alone (occasional visits are double-staffed where the single-staffed cars meet up at the client's home). Collaboration with a solution-focused approach and good communication within the team with colleagues is an important aspect of our operations. The night patrol shares premises with the Alarm Patrol at night and cooperation between the groups is important. We work on a rotating eight-week schedule with work every other weekend. Working hours are 21:30-07:00. You are also expected to contribute to developing the operations by reporting deviations and being a good colleague with professional conduct in all interactions. You work together in the team based on jointly set goals, in accordance with routines, laws, and regulations for client safety! The night patrol is a communication-intensive unit that requires self-leadership and that you are accustomed to working with transparency and compliance with rules and procedures. The night patrol is star-marked according to dementia center standards, and staff are trained in MHFA (first aid for mental health). We work with, among others, Lifecare Mobile Care and Lifecare providers. QUALIFICATIONS To be suitable for this position, you need to have: • Nursing assistant training with protected title issued according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's procedures • Category B driver's license with documented experience driving service vehicles legally and acting as a good representative for the municipality • At least 2 years of experience in home care. Experience from SÄBO/LSS/Psychiatry is meriting. • Experience with night work • Good computer skills are meriting as much internal communication is digital (via confidential email) • Experience with social documentation and writing implementation plans, and knowledge of IBIC • Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
