The Care and Health Services Department consists of five units: Enen, Forsgläntan, Älvgården, Demens, and Korttids.
The Care and Health Services Department operates residential facilities for elderly persons with extensive care needs in accordance with the Social Services Act. We offer a safe and individually tailored living environment with access to care and supervision 24 hours a day. Our work is based on each individual's needs, wishes, and self-determination. Through a person-centered approach, we ensure that each resident receives an individual care plan. The operation works systematically with quality, documentation, and follow-up in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
As a nursing assistant/care aide at Älvgården, you work closely with residents to provide them with a safe and pleasant daily life. You support and assist with meals, hygiene, medication, dressing/undressing, and social interaction. The role also includes documentation, developing care plans, ombudsman responsibilities, and serving as a contact person.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with care training or other education that the employer considers equivalent, or experience in care and health services, with a genuine commitment to elderly people and their well-being. Social conversation and human contact are a natural part of your day. You create a pleasant atmosphere where the elderly feel seen and listened to. You are flexible and work closely with your colleagues, contributing to a workplace characterized by compassion and teamwork. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, and have the digital competence required for documentation in accordance with the Social Services Act. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a merit in applications for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
A criminal record clearance certificate must be presented upon employment.
Working Hours/Duration
Permanent employment 100% day/evening/weekends. Trial employment may apply.
