The Workplace Here we go the extra mile - Within the Social Administration in Karlsborg, approximately 250 dedicated employees work to create safety and quality in elderly care, care for people with disabilities, health and medical services, as well as individual and family services. At the Sjösidan unit, which will be your new work area, there are three departments with cozy apartments for people with cognitive impairment. Here everyday life is close, personal, and characterized by presence. Each department has its own kitchen and common spaces where we create social moments and security – together. Current positions involve work during day, evening, and weekend shifts according to schedule. Curious? Job Duties As a care worker with us, you work person-centered and always based on the individual's own needs, habits, and circumstances. We work with a 24-hour perspective, which means that every measure – large or small – should contribute to safety, continuity, and quality of life throughout the day. Your task is to provide support in all aspects of daily life regarding care, service, and assistance based on the resident's needs. You should be able to provide reassurance, quality care, and perform health and medical care tasks by delegation such as training, administering medication, and wound dressing. Our primary task is that we together create safety and a meaningful everyday life for our residents while meeting their daily needs. The work includes taking in written and oral information and documenting in the activity system Viva. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has experience working with people with cognitive impairment. You will meet people who need safety, a warm reception, and professional support in their daily lives. You therefore need to be able to adapt your working methods to both planned and unexpected needs, and feel comfortable taking responsibility and using your own initiative. You enjoy collaborating with others, contribute to a good atmosphere, and treat both residents and colleagues with respect and dignity. If you are also attentive, curious, and enjoy finding solutions when everyday life presents challenges – then you will be a great fit with us. Specialist training in dementia is a merit.
