Your responsibilities We are now seeking a new colleague for the night shift at Valla Park Care Home. As a nursing assistant/care assistant on the night shift, you will be responsible together with a colleague for one of the two units in the house. Night staff rotate, which means you work in both somatic care and dementia care. This contributes to varied work and opportunities for experience exchange between colleagues. Your shift begins with a handover from the evening staff and reading patient documentation in Treserva. During the night, you perform scheduled care tasks, conduct monitoring, and respond to alarms. You are also responsible for household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and setting up for breakfast. You conclude your work shift by documenting in Treserva and providing a verbal handover to the day staff. In your work, you follow IBIC (the individual's needs at the center) and a salutogenic approach where you focus on health and strengthen the individual's own abilities. You also apply low-arousal interaction to handle different situations in a calm and respectful manner. Work hours are scheduled for awake night shifts. Your workplace Valla Park is a care home located in a scenic area near Gamla Linköping. It has 50 places distributed across three somatic units and three dementia units. Work within somatic care and dementia care at Valla Park is varied and meaningful. You will become an important part of our committed, multiprofessional team and contribute to creating a meaningful stay for our residents. We use BEATA, an individualized working method with digital monitoring and digital alarms, which increases privacy for residents and reduces the need for physical monitoring. About you We are primarily looking for someone with an approved care and services education. For the position, it is a requirement that you have secondary education and experience working in care, support, and services. If you have experience working with individuals in dementia and/or somatic care, we consider that a merit. Experience with the IBIC method and experience with documentation in patient record systems are also merits for the position. Knowledge of a salutogenic approach and familiarity or experience with low-arousal interaction is a plus. Since the work involves contact with residents and documentation, you need to be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in Swedish. You are also expected to be able to use digital tools in your work. You work well with other people and are attentive to people's different needs. You have the ability to understand someone else's perspective without taking on their emotions. Furthermore, you are calm, stable, and composed in stressful situations. You are also flexible and adapt easily to changed circumstances. To ensure high quality in our operations, a language test is included in the recruitment process.
