Nursing Assistant/Pediatric Nursing Assistant, Pediatric Ward 3, Children's and Youth Center, Umeå The Children's and Youth Center Västerbotten is responsible for all specialist care in the region for children and young people ages 0–18 years. Together we are 400 employees. Pediatric Ward 3 is Sweden's northernmost pediatric cancer center and is part of the Children's and Youth Center in Umeå. Here there are 11 care beds on weekdays and 7 on weekends. We provide highly specialized care for children and young people from across the northern healthcare region. In addition to children with blood and tumor diseases, we also care for patients with neurosurgical, cardiological, and eye-related diseases, among others. RESPONSIBILITIES As a pediatric nursing assistant with us, you work closely with children, young people, and their families. Together with the team, you are responsible for safe, secure, and family-centered care. The work involves patient care, observation, and monitoring of patients' health status, as well as participation in examinations and treatments. You collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to create the best possible conditions throughout the care process. The role also includes documentation and participation in care planning/nursing rounds. With us, it is part of the job to contribute to the development of the operation in various ways, to welcome and introduce new employees, and to mentor students. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and want to work with children and young people in an operation where both medical quality and humane treatment are central. Experience in pediatric care is an asset but not required. We are looking for you who contributes to a work climate characterized by respect, trust, and helpfulness. You do this by clearly communicating your own assessments while listening to and valuing the knowledge and experience of others.
