Department 7 is a general surgical department which means we care for patients with many different surgical diagnoses, at varying ages. We also work with palliative care in close collaboration with the Palliative Consultation Team in Karlskoga.
Duties
As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for basic nursing care but also perform many specific nursing tasks, such as monitoring vital parameters, neurological examinations, catheter placement, specimen collection, wound and stoma care. We work in teams with nursing assistants and registered nurses together with doctors and rehabilitation professionals. Great focus is placed on quality and patient safety where you have great personal responsibility for your work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and as a person are interested in and have a desire to learn new things. Experience in inpatient care is desirable but absolutely not a requirement.
Personal qualities that we value highly are that you collaborate well with others and have the ability to listen, communicate and solve problems in a constructive way. That you take responsibility for your tasks and structure your work together with the team and that you can easily adapt to changed circumstances is of great importance. We value personal suitability highly.

The application should contain a CV, cover letter and grades in nursing courses completed as well as possibly proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of protected professional title. Other certificates, grades, diplomas etc. should be submitted at a possible interview.
