Laboratory Medicine Västerbotten comprises approximately 520 employees within clinical genetics, clinical immunology and transfusion medicine, clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, and clinical pathology. The organization also includes biobank, infection control, and tissue services. The operations are accredited. Clinical Chemistry, where you will be placed, is one of five laboratory specialties. We are located at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå as well as at regional hospitals in Lycksele and Skellefteå. We have a total of approximately 140 employees, of which approximately 30 are based in Skellefteå. The operations are open 24 hours a day. The clinical chemistry department in the region receives approximately 6,000 test tubes daily and performs approximately 7 million analyses annually. At the laboratory in Skellefteå, in addition to clinical chemistry, we have transfusion medicine with a blood collection service and acute serological operations, a specimen collection unit, and rapid testing within clinical microbiology. We are now seeking a nursing assistant for specimen collection at Skellefteå Hospital. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nursing assistant with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. You will work with venous and capillary specimen collection. Work with specimen sorting at the specimen intake may also be relevant. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant and have experience working with specimen collection. You are service-oriented and can work with a professional approach in various situations. You are good at collaborating and have strong patient care skills. You have good knowledge of Swedish.
