Now we are building a new acute care unit (AVA) with intermediate care beds at Ljungby Hospital — and we're looking for you to be with us from the start. The Acute Care Unit is part of the Acute Clinic, which together with the region's two emergency departments is a central part of care for acutely ill and injured patients. The clinic has almost 200 committed employees. We are an academic acute clinic with excellent opportunities for learning and development in everyday work. This is the AVA with IMA beds in Ljungby: The new unit will improve patient flow at the hospital and strengthen care for patients who need more monitoring and treatment than other medical departments at the hospital can offer. In the first phase, we will open twelve AVA beds. Later in the fall, we will open an additional four ICU beds and three IMA beds. With us you will meet patients with conditions within, among others, medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and infection. WORK DUTIES As a nursing assistant you have an important role in direct patient care and in the team around the patient. The work is varied and patient-focused. Work duties include, among other things: • patient care • blood sampling • ECG recording • wound dressing • assistance during medical examinations As a nursing assistant you will work with both intermediate care patients and patients on the acute care unit, based on your competence. Since this is a new unit, you will receive training before the unit opens, as well as an individually adapted introduction. If you are newly hired at Region Kronoberg, you will also receive a region-wide introduction.
