About Us Department 92/93 is an inpatient care unit that handles acute cardiology cases and receives patients with acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, and arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation. We have a large influx of patients from ambulances and the acute intake unit. Our mission also includes receiving patients from other hospitals with various forms of heart disease. We have a well-functioning team where nursing assistants, nurses, physicians, and physiotherapists collaborate. This is an important part of ensuring that our work can be performed professionally and deliver high-quality care with the patient as our focus. Duties As a nursing assistant, you have an important role in patient care. You work closely with patients. Your duties include monitoring vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, saturation, and respiratory rate and temperature). Your work also includes performing EKGs, blood draws, wound dressing changes, fall risk assessments, and reporting any deviations to the nurse. The nurse and nursing assistant maintain close communication throughout their shift. Together with the nursing aide, you are responsible for patient meals. When you start with us, you will receive an orientation where you and your supervisor will go through your job description. We will gradually introduce you to the department until you feel confident in your role so that you can provide the best possible care. It is also important that you integrate into our team as smoothly as possible. About You We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. To fit well with us, you should possess qualities such as good collaboration skills, thoroughness, and social competence. Working in cardiac intensive care means you must enjoy acute medical care.
