Your New Job
You work based on a health-promoting approach focused on strengthening individuals' abilities and creating meaningful daily lives. Work tasks include personal care and nursing, medication management, activation and social interaction - you contribute to meaningful days through, for example, outdoor activities and exercise. You perform simple wound care, support everyday rehabilitation, and provide end-of-life care. The work also includes service tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping. Work tasks may vary and change over time.
Documentation is also an important part of the work and occurs continuously in our journal system Combine. You will be the primary care contact for a number of the residents and are responsible for their care plans. The work is performed both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues on the unit and licensed health and medical care personnel.
Your Competence
You are trained as a nursing assistant
Meritorious to have experience working in care and nursing
You have good Swedish language skills in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension
You have good computer skills and are comfortable with digital documentation
You have good physical mobility as the work can be physically demanding

Welcome to Us
The Social Services Department's task is to ensure that everyone in Jönköping Municipality, based on political mandates and in accordance with applicable legislation, has their basic needs for support, care, and safety met. The Social Services Department includes the functions of elderly care, functional support, individual and family care, and health and medical care functions.
Kristinedals Elderly Housing is located in the Western part of Jönköping and has more than 70 permanent and temporary employees. The elderly housing is distributed over three floors - floor 2 is a dementia unit, floor 3 is a short-term unit, and floor 4 is a somatic unit. Each unit comprises a total of 20 apartments. Resource shifts occur in your employment, which means work on several of the operation's units.
Good to Know
The recruitment concerns a temporary position of approximately 11 months on a full-time basis, with possible opportunity for extension. Working hours are scheduled during day and evening, weekdays and weekends. You need to be able to work inconvenient working hours and be flexible in shift planning as it is adapted to the operation's needs.
