Residents in Jämtland County in need of specialist psychiatric care receive treatment in outpatient or inpatient care within the psychiatry area at Östersunds Hospital. The units' staff have significant responsibility for developing and improving care in collaboration with the area's management. In total, there are approximately 270 employees within the area. 3 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nursing assistant on the Psychiatric Acute Care Unit and BUP Care Ward, you work closest to the patient and provide daily support through personal care and social contact. Your work on the Psychiatric Acute Care Unit involves stepping into an environment where each patient's situation is unique and where your approach makes a real difference. As a nursing assistant on the BUP Care Ward, you support the establishment of daily routines around sleep, meals, and activities. You provide support during meals and collaborate with the BUP Eating Disorder Team. Collaboration with guardians is important. Your responsibilities also include working in consultation with the BUP Acute Team to coordinate with outpatient case managers, schools, social services, and any other relevant health and medical care contacts. During your introduction, you will receive training in eating support, as many of our patients under 18 years of age need this. QUALIFICATIONS Educated nursing assistant. Previous work experience from psychiatry, treatment homes, or similar activities is a merit. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have education and work experience in basic care. As a person, you see the value of building and maintaining good relationships with patients and colleagues. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in psychiatric care work and who wants stimulating work where you learn about acute psychiatric operations. You have a respectful approach to both patients, their relatives, and colleagues. You do not need to be fully trained, but you want to develop and learn. You are a positive person who enjoys collaborating with different professional categories. As a team member on the unit, you also work with the care of other patients together with your colleagues when needed.
