Our unit at USÖ consists of a care ward, an orthopedic outpatient clinic, and part of our regional secretariat. The care ward has beds for our acute and trauma patients with a strong focus on highly specialized spine and pelvis surgery, as well as elective spine, foot, and hand surgery. Currently, the unit has 21 acute beds and 7 elective beds Monday-Friday. In addition to these care beds, we operate specialized light care beds that are staffed entirely by our competent nursing assistants. To ensure optimized care for ortho-geriatric patients, a geriatrician works on the unit Monday-Friday. The care is rehabilitation-focused with strong emphasis on collaboration with all professions in the team and other units that contribute to comprehensive patient care. Check out our Instagram account @Trauma37an Job Responsibilities Standard nursing assistant duties on a care ward, involving both independent patient care work and teamwork. The role also includes blood sampling and other medical-technical procedures. Qualifications We welcome you if you are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on acute care according to the previous program structure, or trained within the current program structure. To assess employability, grades from your care education and proof from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare regarding protected professional title must be included in your application. Experience in acute care, pre- and postoperative care is desirable but not required. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. Application Interviews may take place on a rolling basis. About the Organization The orthopedic and hand surgery business area conducts university healthcare and clinical research at the county's three hospitals: University Hospital Örebro, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindsberg Hospital.
