Welcome to us! Your Work Tasks We are expanding our team at Nykil Home Care! Are you the one we are looking for? Within home care, you provide support and care directly in people's homes. Here you have the opportunity to really make a difference and become a crucial part of someone's life, every day. You meet a wide variety of needs and challenges, which makes the work both varied and rewarding. Your work tasks are varied and based on each individual's needs. This includes, among other things, nursing care and personal hygiene, cleaning, laundry, simple meal preparation, and social interaction. The work also includes certain delegated nursing tasks from a nurse. The mobile phone is your primary work tool where your visits and what needs to be done are shown. You also have contact with family members and other stakeholders. Your commitment helps more people continue to live an independent life in their own home. Your Workplace In April 2026, Linköping Municipality took over responsibility for home care and senior housing in Nykil. Here you get to be part of developing and shaping the operations forward. Nykil Senior Housing offers 24 apartments. Home care is provided in the senior housing as well as in the rural areas around Nykil. Here you travel through the beautiful East Gothland countryside and contribute to supporting our residents in their everyday lives. We currently have 22 nursing assistants and care aides working with us. We see a need to expand the team to 28 colleagues to best meet the needs that exist. Planners, coordinators, and a operations manager also work here. The operations also have access to home care nurses as well as physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Your working hours are during day, evening, and every other weekend. Regular working hours are 07-16 and 13-22. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is trained as a nursing assistant and has previous work experience in the form of internship or work within care and social services. Alternatively, you have completed upper secondary education and previous work experience within care and social services. Work within elderly care involves extensive contact with clients and documentation, which means it is a requirement that you can communicate verbally and in writing in the Swedish language. You have good computer skills and the ability to use digital tools in your work. You need to be able to cycle and have a driver's license category B. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with other people and listen and communicate in a clear way and have the ability to adapt your way of communicating. It is also important that you have empathetic abilities and can put yourself in the perspective and situation of others. You find it easy to adapt to new circumstances and see opportunities in changes.
