The facility consists of three somatic care units and two dementia care units, one of which specializes in somatic respite care. We work together as a team across all units. An elderly care home is a secure living arrangement for older adults with significant daily care and support needs, as well as individuals with dementia. We operate eight elderly care homes located both centrally and in our outlying areas. Our operations are part of the Health and Care sector of Skövde Municipality. As a nursing assistant with us, you have the opportunity to help create the best living environment for our residents. Our work is based on our values of safety, responsibility and respectful treatment, and you play a large and important role in the resident's well-being. You work carefully and professionally with the resident, in collaboration with the rest of the team. This also means working for good cooperation with other professions and family members. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for ensuring that our residents, according to their individual needs, receive social support and care, assistance, health and medical care and activation. The work also includes service tasks such as preparing simple meals, dishwashing, laundry and cleaning. The role also includes performing delegated and prescribed healthcare services, in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). Documentation in our systems is also an important part of the work. Within the Health and Care sector, we work flexibly across different units. This means you will also work shifts in other units and other elderly care homes than the one you normally work at. QUALIFICATIONS To work as a nursing assistant with us, you need to have completed upper secondary education in the care and support program or equivalent. We welcome experience and/or training in person-centered care approaches such as IBIC. As a person, you need to be responsible and service-oriented, putting the individual's needs at the center. You collaborate well with colleagues, residents, family members and other partners both within and outside your own organization. You find it easy to build relationships and you have respectful conduct. We believe that we build a better organization through collaboration and development together with others. In this role, it is important that you can communicate verbally and in writing in good Swedish, as you and the resident need to understand each other, but also to be able to carry out documentation. You have computer skills and preferably experience with social documentation systems. You have the competence and ability to both obtain and maintain delegations assigned to you by licensed personnel. The willingness to care for, support and develop other people is one of the qualities most needed in our society. And you who have it in you are the real future. Upon employment, an extract from the police's criminal record register must be provided. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to use the title nursing assistant within health and care.
