Job Duties As a nursing assistant with us, you will work alongside competent colleagues to meet patients with many different needs. About the Workplace On the department, the goal is to optimize care with a focus on what benefits the individual, rather than maximizing care interventions. This includes clear planning for hospital discharge to create security for both the patient and those who will take over care after discharge. The department will consist of 16 care beds. The department is part of a regional clinic, Close Care East, with operations in both Västerås and Sala. In Västerås, in addition to the Close Care Department, there is the Close Care Team Västerås-Surahammar, the AH team in Västerås, the Palliative Care Department, and the Palliative Care Advisory Team. In Sala there is the sister department Department 1, Medical Clinic, the Close Care Team in Sala, the Rehabilitation Unit, and the AH team in Sala. The clinic plays an important role in the transition to Close Care by offering care at different levels, mobility in various forms, and care closer to home. If you have knowledge/experience in palliative care, medically complex patients, and patients with rehabilitation needs, or if you feel you want to develop within these areas, this position is perfect for you. Further training in elderly care, palliative care, heart failure, COPD, and diabetes is a merit. As a person, you are calm and stable and can focus on the right things. You have a positive attitude toward your work and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You adapt easily to new circumstances and can quickly change your perspective. You work well with others, listen, and communicate in a responsive manner with both colleagues and patients. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
