Juliahemmet is located in Ultuna in Uppsala and is an elderly care home with 69 beds, 40 for persons with cognitive disorders and the remaining for general nursing care. About the role As a nursing assistant, you work closely with the residents and provide support and care based on each person's individual needs, habits, and preferences. Together with your colleagues, you plan the work and contribute to creating safety, continuity, and a meaningful everyday life. The work includes, among other things: personal care and support in daily life observing changes in the resident's needs and well-being documentation and information transfer activities, meals, and social interaction contact person responsibilities and contact with relatives collaboration with colleagues and other professionals around the resident. The work is person-centered and means you need to be able to adapt your support based on the person you meet. Your competence as a nursing assistant is important both in daily care and in noticing things that can affect the resident's health and well-being. Working hours are scheduled day/evening shifts. The position comprises 85%. Who are you? We believe that to thrive with us, you enjoy working with elderly people and are confident in your role as a nursing assistant. You are attentive and responsive to the residents' needs and take responsibility for ensuring that what you observe and notice is communicated further. You collaborate well with others and communicate clearly with colleagues, residents, and relatives. At the same time, you can work independently and make professional assessments in your daily work. Your experience To be suitable for this role, you need to: have documentation from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) authorizing you to use the protected professional title nursing assistant have experience working in elderly care be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written be able to use the digital tools needed in the work. It is advantageous if you have previous experience in dementia care. Other information about the recruitment The employment is a permanent position at 85%. We use a probationary period.
