Work Tasks On the care ward you will meet cancer patients with nutritional difficulties, pain issues, complications from tumor disease and treatment, patients for whom chemotherapy and radiation therapy cannot be administered on an outpatient basis, as well as end-of-life care. As a nursing assistant you work in a team with registered nurses in direct patient care where you are responsible for tasks within your professional role. As a nursing assistant you have primary responsibility for shared ward tasks. About the Workplace The Oncology Clinic is a regional clinic with operations in Västerås. In addition to the inpatient ward, the clinic includes a modern radiation therapy and radiophysics department, a rehabilitation unit, a reception area, a day care ward for medical cancer treatments, and a PICC line clinic. The units work closely together and you have the opportunity to visit the different units to gain an understanding of the whole picture. Care at the Oncology Clinic is based on seeing the whole person and taking into account physical, psychological, social, and existential factors, which means close contact with both patients and their families. You independently document in the Cosmic journal system and master care plan documentation well. We want you to have good collaboration skills, to be communicative and have the ability to meet patients and colleagues in a respectful and positive manner. Since the work is highly varied, we place great emphasis on flexibility, the ability to work in a structured manner, stress resilience, and personal maturity with humility and respect. We would like to see that you are interested in improvement work and independently drive your own work forward. Employment Terms Permanent employment. Full-time. Service on day, evening, and weekend shifts. Rotation toward night shifts may occur. Start date by agreement. We apply individual and differentiated salary setting.
