What We're Looking For Nursing assistant with acute care certification, or with experience that the employer deems equivalent. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. What You'll Work With Department 63 has 12 care beds specializing in Hematology and Palliative Care. As a nursing assistant on Department 63, you work with basic care for two highly specialized patient groups with varying care needs. You have a supportive role in promoting quality of life for both patients and their families. The Hematology Unit at Sunderby Hospital has a regional mandate focused on investigation and treatment of both hematological deficiency diseases and advanced treatment of malignant blood diseases, as well as care following stem cell transplantation. Palliative care is the care provided when cure is no longer possible. Palliative patients often struggle with complex symptoms and require specialized palliative care, where we strive to provide optimal care and support. We work in teams with physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, hospital chaplains, and a palliative advisory team. Work hours are scheduled for day/evening shifts and weekends. Selection and interviews are ongoing and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
