About the Operation Do you want to make a difference for patients in an eventful and developing surgical operation? Department 11 is now seeking a nursing assistant who wants to contribute with commitment, care, and expertise to our multidisciplinary team. On our department, we care for patients in acute surgery and upper gastroenterology. Here you will encounter a varied patient flow ranging from acute illnesses and trauma to patients with complex cancer disease. The work is varied and developmental, where no two days are alike. You work in multidisciplinary teams together with nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and dietitians. Job Responsibilities As a nursing assistant with us, you have a central role in daily patient care and help create security and well-being for our patients throughout their care period. Job responsibilities include, among other things: Basic and advanced care of surgical patients Observation and reporting of the patient's health condition Assistance with mobilization, nutrition, and personal care Wound dressing changes and drainage management according to delegation and procedures Sample collection and certain medical technical procedures based on competence and delegation Support and information to patients and relatives Collaboration with other professions regarding patient care and rehabilitation We offer an individually adapted introduction where you receive support from experienced colleagues to feel confident in your role. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on acute care or experience in surgical care. You have a genuine interest in patient care and enjoy working close to the patient. The work requires that you can collaborate well with others while taking personal responsibility and working independently when the situation requires it.
