Department 50 is an internal medicine ward specializing in kidney diseases, lung diseases, and gastrointestinal diseases. We often care for patients with complex needs and work patient-centered to create safe, secure, and cohesive care. Here, nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors work closely together. In daily operations, we also collaborate with rehabilitation staff, dietitians, and speech therapists. Every professional role is meaningful and contributes to both high quality care and a good work environment. How We Work: - Teamwork is the foundation of our approach - we support each other during work shifts - Each team includes nursing assistants, a nurse, and a doctor - The team is collectively responsible for patients during the shift and on rounds Work Tasks As a nursing assistant with us, you work closest to the patient and are a central part of daily care work. Your work tasks are varied and important to the overall patient care. During your shift you help patients with and perform, for example: - General care and support - Monitoring and tracking vital signs - Sample collection - Wound dressing - Meal assistance Since you work closest to the patient, you will have a central role in identifying symptoms and signs of illness in the patient, which you then bring up in your team and thus create the foundation for good and safe care.
