The Support and Care Division has approximately 310 employees working within social services, elderly care, health and medical care, and support for people with disabilities. Our mission is comprehensive and an important part of the community service we want to provide to our municipal residents.

DUTIES
We strive to contribute to the highest possible quality of life for our residents. We want individuals living at Åldersro to have a meaningful daily life. Together with your colleagues, you are an important piece of this work.
The duties involve personal care and support services, all based on individual care plans.
The work also includes being a contact person, which means you plan support and assistance together with the individual.
Teamwork is a large part of the job. You will work in teams together with rehabilitation staff, nursing staff, and our specialized dementia team.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant.
You have previous experience working in a residential facility with a dementia focus.
Specialist training in dementia care, elderly care, or welfare technology and experience working with BPSD are meriting.
You have warmth and commitment to working with this target group. You have a positive attitude and see it as your clear responsibility to contribute to a positive work environment and promote good cooperation.
We strive to create as homelike an environment as possible characterized by calm and security, which is why it is important that you are confident in your professional role and have good self-insight and personal maturity. You need to be able to meet each individual's needs by having the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, remain calm in stressful situations, and see opportunities instead of obstacles. We are looking for someone with good conduct in all situations in your profession. It is also important that you are used to cooperating and taking your own initiatives.
Beyond your passion for dementia care, we want you to have an interest in change and development work as this is an operation in constant development. We also want you to enjoy challenges and think beyond the ordinary.
You are self-directed and can take your own initiatives and are good at cooperating with colleagues, family members, and other partners, both within and outside your own organization.
We want you to be able to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish as the work includes many contact points and documentation.
We expect you to have computer skills and preferably experience with social documentation in the Lifecare system.
To be able to be employed in the role of nursing assistant, you need to enclose with your application proof of protected professional title or a certificate from your current employer confirming that you had a permanent employment as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start date: By agreement, end date: 2026-12-31.
To be eligible for employment in Valdemarsvik Municipality, an extract from the police criminal record must be presented. You will need to show your extract if you are offered the position.
Depending on the current workplace's needs, part of your working time may be placed at another workplace within the Support and Care Division.
