Geriatric Center is a specialty clinic for patients in need of both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. A comprehensive assessment of the patient's medical, physical, mental, and social functioning in illness is performed by a team of multiple professions. Diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation are provided in inpatient and outpatient settings with the patient's individual needs in focus. Psychogeriatrics, Department 2, has 11 care beds and provides specialized psychogeriatric care, treatment, and rehabilitation for persons with cognitive diseases and behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia (BPSD) regardless of age. Patient care and treatment are based on the patient's individual needs and take place within a well-functioning team. The department works with care strategies and person-centered care. JOB DUTIES As a nursing assistant with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel safe. Work as a nursing assistant includes care work together with nurses. You perform medical procedures based on the patient's condition and medical orders. You collaborate with other professionals in the care team, other healthcare providers, and the patient's relatives. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a certified nursing assistant diploma. We prefer that you have professional experience working with people with cognitive diseases. Beyond your care competence, we value your ability to collaborate, listen, and communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues in the workplace. As a person, you are engaged and positive. We also see that you are interested in contributing your knowledge to develop activities within the clinic. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare and elderly care.
