The Center for Movement and Musculoskeletal Care (ROC) Umeå provides university hospital care in Orthopedics including spinal surgery in the Northern healthcare region, covering the four northernmost counties. ROC is also the county hospital for orthopedics in Västerbotten and a regional hospital for the Umeå region. The Center for Movement and Musculoskeletal Care is divided into sections for Joint and Tumor, Acute Care, Trauma, and Spine—all of which handle thousands of patient visits, treatments, and surgical procedures annually. Together with the Surgery and Orthopedic Clinic in Lycksele and the Surgical Unit in Skellefteå, we are responsible for all orthopedic care in the county. The Center for Movement and Musculoskeletal Care, Umeå is a University Hospital Care Unit (USVE) where research and student supervision are a natural part of daily clinical work. Our diverse operations at the Center for Movement and Musculoskeletal Care are experienced as stimulating by our staff, as the work is divided into different sections providing varied work and a strong medical knowledge base. We have broad and deep operations spanning from assessment of patients' acute orthopedic problems in emergency care, at the clinic and ward, to elective orthopedic surgery and extensive fracture and trauma surgery. DUTIES As a nursing assistant with us, you contribute to providing excellent care for others and helping people feel better. Your work as a nursing assistant at our clinic includes preparing for upcoming doctor appointments, performing EKGs, blood draws, wound dressing changes, assisting doctors with biopsies and punctures, and answering the internal phone. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a qualified nursing assistant education. Since nursing assistant is a protected title, you must provide a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen), or alternatively a service certificate that allows you to fall under Socialstyrelsen's transitional provisions and use the title until June 30, 2033. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a work environment where good collaboration and communication are highly valued. You enjoy being challenged by taking on personal responsibility and making your own decisions. You can handle multiple tasks, are stress-resistant, and have an interest in development work.
