Nursing Assistant Night Shift, Department 53 Acute Surgery, Sunderby Hospital

Department 53 is an acute surgical unit that is part of general surgery/urology. The department is part of the surgical clinic which consists of three units, two outpatient clinics, and a day care facility. We are growing steadily and the department is staffed with our own personnel, with the goal of continued growth and development. We are looking for We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and want to work nights. You will be part of a stable work group with experienced night staff. You should have completed the acute care course (200 points) or according to the new curriculum health and nursing care 1 and 2. If you have experience in surgical care or acute care, that is meriting. We place great importance on your personal qualities because we value our good work community and pleasant work environment. As a person, you are self-directed, responsible, can take your own initiative, and appreciate the sometimes high pace. It is important that you have good collaboration skills, enjoy working in a team, and contribute to good care with the patient in focus. What you will work with As a nursing assistant in department 53 – acute surgery, you are responsible for basic patient care. Tasks include, in addition to basic patient care, qualified tasks such as drain management, wound care, as well as specimen collection, patient education, risk assessments, and documentation in the patient record system. As a nursing assistant in the department, you have varied and developmental work where you work both independently and in a team. We work with person-centered care and interprofessional collaboration. You will work together with nurses, doctors in the acute care team, and other professionals such as physiotherapists.
