Elder care in Umeå Municipality aims to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live independent lives through proximity and collaboration. The Sjöjungfrun care and residential home is located in Tomtebo at the southern tip of Nydalasjön lake, approximately 6 km from Umeå city center. The home has 47 apartments distributed across three floors. Each floor has two units with 8 apartments per unit. We offer excellent opportunities for outdoor activities. In addition to proximity to Nydalasjön, we have balconies, outdoor terraces, and a shared courtyard that encourages spending time outdoors. We are now recruiting two nursing assistants to work nights with us! Your responsibilities With a professional approach and good conduct, you will assist our residents. The residents' participation and self-determination are in focus, and you will help ensure that services are provided with high quality, according to decisions and implementation plans. You will assist with nursing care, personal hygiene, meals, and other services. Your tasks also include documenting measures and health status, as well as medical duties within the scope of delegation by the responsible nurse. Heavy lifting tasks occur; lifting aids must be used. Working hours are scheduled for the night shift. About you We seek someone who is responsible and wants to contribute to high-quality operations by being professional and accommodating to residents, colleagues, other professionals, and to some extent family members. You have an empathetic nature, are humble with good teamwork skills, and are a good team player. You are constructive, take initiative, and can work independently. We place great importance on personal suitability. Requirements Trained nursing assistant Experience with night shift work Experience in care and elderly care Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, to communicate with clients, family members, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive tube feeding/medication delegation Desirable Experience with dementia Smoking and pets may be present in the workplace, so you should not have allergies.
