Are you an experienced nursing assistant with an interest in quality improvement and mentoring? We are now looking for you with strong knowledge and experience in elderly care who wants to take extra responsibility for mentoring, quality, and onboarding in our operations. Here you will have a central role in contributing to good care through a person-centered approach, where each resident's needs and wishes are in focus. By working closely with both colleagues and management, you create security, participation, and development – for both residents and your colleagues. Fältvägen is a special residential facility located in Torvalla. It is one of the municipality's most modern facilities on one floor with large and practical apartments and beautiful courtyards. The facility has 5 units with 7 residents on each unit. The staff team currently consists of nursing assistants, care attendants, coordinators, and a unit manager. We develop and work with digital technology in our operations to facilitate work for staff and improve care quality for residents. We have close collaboration both within and between our different units. The position is full-time (100%) and working hours are scheduled for daytime, weekdays. You are part of the work team but will have time to perform work related to your job description. Your placement is at the unit where you are employed, but your placement may be moved if needed. Your New Job As a nursing assistant with advanced expertise, you are an important part of developing both care and your colleagues. You work closely with the unit manager, coordinators, and various designated staff members and have a key role in supporting and guiding staff in daily work. This includes mentoring colleagues in basic care, rehabilitative work methods, and documentation, as well as ensuring that procedures are followed. You participate in case meetings, distribute information throughout the operations, and support designated roles such as meals, activities, language, and documentation coordinators. Another important part is your responsibility for introducing new employees and welcoming new residents, where you help create a comprehensive picture of needs and initiate care plans. The role combines practical work with responsibility for mentoring, quality, and development, making it both varied and meaningful. Your Competence Requirements Certified nursing assistant At least 3 years of professional experience as a nursing assistant Strong knowledge of geriatric diseases and care Strong knowledge of mentoring Strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Good computer skills Meritorious Experience working in the Viva management system Mentor training Further education in the field We Are Looking for You We are looking for you with very strong knowledge in all aspects of nursing assistant work, as you are expected to be a knowledge resource for your colleagues. You are loyal to the organization and act in accordance with decisions made, guidelines, operational plans, set goals, and policies. In this role, you are meticulous and well aware of the operations' goals and quality standards and are happy to take your own initiative within the scope of the assignment. As a mentor, you have pedagogical talent where you adapt your communication style to the person you are training. Your communication is clear and you are careful to ensure that the recipient understands what you want to convey. You remind and follow up to ensure good quality in care work. The role requires good teamwork skills where you relate to people in a responsive and flexible manner. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
