Gothenburg is one of four centers in Sweden for advanced pediatric and adolescent surgery. As a nursing assistant with us, you will work with pre- and postoperative care of children ages 0-16 years. We treat many different diagnoses ranging from congenital malformations to orthopedics and burn injuries. We work patient-centered through five different diagnostic teams. Our goal is to provide our patients with excellent care characterized by working together in multidisciplinary teams. The department encourages engagement and development work for children and families. What Can We Offer You? The Pediatric Surgery Department is now seeking an employee for a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension. When you start with us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction with guidance. Training and practice for acute situations are conducted regularly. Whether you are relatively new to the profession or have worked for several years, we will ensure that you feel confident in your role to provide the best possible care and that you become part of our team. Job Responsibilities Our department cares for acutely ill children around the clock. We are a highly specialized surgical care unit where you as a nursing assistant play a significant role in the pre- and postoperative care of the child. About You We are seeking someone who is a trained nursing assistant. Specialist training in pediatric and youth care, experience in pediatric healthcare, and experience in surgical pre- and postoperative care are merits. For you to thrive with us, you should be flexible and able to calmly handle unexpected situations. We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and good collaborative skills. The patient and their family are always at the center to provide the best possible care. Most importantly, you have a genuine interest in working with children and their families.
