Elderly care homes within Orust Municipality are part of the Care Sector and belong to the elderly care operations area. Our vision is to become Sweden's best elderly care provider! The Gullvivan elderly care home is centrally located in Henån and opened in 2018. The facility has 30 apartments distributed across two units. All units are designed for people with cognitive impairment. The Gullvivan premises are bright and modern, arranged around a sunny courtyard. Your Responsibilities As a nursing assistant in the Care Sector of Orust Municipality, you will work from a salutogenic approach, which means focusing on quality of life for the individual. This approach should lead to good and safe care, where the individual through participation achieves meaningfulness, comprehensibility, and manageability in their life situation. Your role is characterized by responsibility, collaboration, and striving for the best possible interaction. The work tasks are varied and include, in addition to personal care tasks, continuous documentation and follow-up of quality and services. At Gullvivan, we use various tools in our work, such as Structure 24 and Senior Alert. As a nursing assistant in elderly care, you will serve as a fixed care contact for one or more residents. You are responsible for, among other things, establishing and following up on individual care plans together with the resident. The position includes ombudsman duties and other areas of responsibility. You will perform certain health and medical care tasks following delegation from municipal primary care. In your daily work, you will collaborate with and receive support from the unit manager, coordinating nursing assistant (SAMO), rehabilitation, nurse, and other stakeholders. About You Are you a positive person who sees opportunities, is flexible, and enjoys working in a team to meet new challenges? If so, we're looking for you! We are seeking someone who has completed a care and welfare program or similar education that provides eligibility for the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate of right to use the professional title nursing assistant. Experience with LSS (support and service for people with certain functional impairments), psychiatry, elderly care, and/or experience working with people with cognitive impairment is desirable. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We expect you to be a communicative person with the ability to work with your team to create an environment where you and your colleagues work toward common goals. You should be confident, have good collaboration skills, and be able to meet people in different situations in a professional manner. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you can understand and speak Bosnian. You need good physical fitness and basic computer skills. If you are interested in digitalization and welfare technology, this is advantageous.
