About the Operation Mora is a city with proximity to nature and mountains that invites outdoor activities and an active leisure life year-round. Mora Hospital is one of Region Dalarna's two acute care hospitals. The catchment area has approximately 80,000 residents, but outdoor facilities in Sälen and Idre as well as major sporting events both summer and winter create large tourist flows. Mora Hospital combines the comfort of a small hospital while serving as a trauma hospital. The Operation, Anesthesia, and ICU clinic consists of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Central Operating Room (C-op), Day Surgery Mora (DKM), and Sterile Technology. The ICU cares for approximately 1,500 patients per year, of which approximately 500 are ICU patients. At C-op and DKM, approximately 4,500-5,000 surgeries are performed per year, mainly surgery and orthopedics, but also some urology. Sterile Technology handles supplies from operating rooms, care units, and outpatient clinics at the hospital as well as from all health centers in Region Dalarna. We have close collaboration with other clinics and also assist with external assignments at the hospital such as anesthesia/sedation at outpatient clinics, emergency teams, and advanced expertise during secondary transfers to another hospital. At the Central Operating Room, mainly elective operations are conducted in our five operating rooms during daytime hours, with emergency operations handled by an operating team 24/7 throughout the year. Job Responsibilities As a nursing assistant in the central operating room, you work in close collaboration with the operating room nurse and anesthesia nurse in the perioperative care of patients. Together with the operating room nurse, you are responsible for systematically planning and organizing work in connection with surgical procedures, ensuring hygienic and aseptic principles are followed, and preventing cross-contamination. This is a temporary position where you have the opportunity to work day shift Monday-Friday. Day shift Monday-Friday means a 40-hour work week. Region Dalarna offers a generous wellness allowance. Qualifications We require that you: are a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title, with a degree from the healthcare and care program or the vocational care and support package from adult education have several years of experience from hospital ward or outpatient clinic work within hospital care can provide a diploma from Healthcare and Care College It is meritorious if you have: previous experience working in an operating room, emergency clinic, or intensive care unit We are looking for someone who is positive and thorough, has a patient-focused approach, and demonstrates good communication with both patients and colleagues. You also express yourself well in Swedish verbally and in writing, and work with digital patient record systems. Your ability to multitask and handle stress is excellent, and you have the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities. We also see that you have good teamwork skills and a flexible working style. We are looking for someone who is engaged and contributes to a good work environment. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability and previous references.
