We are seeking a nursing assistant with knowledge and interest in working with people who have memory disorders (dementia) and/or mental health issues, as all our home care clients have such conditions. You can work in a mix of home care and residential support roles if desired.
HOME CARE SERVICE
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: 07:30-16:30
Schedule: Four-week rotating schedule (you work on a four-week rotation where every other week includes weekend shifts). 100% - 37/37 hours
Education Requirements: Fully trained nursing assistant with a valid Swedish certification (1500 points)
Salary: Based on the organization's collective agreement (Almega vårdföretagarna)
Probationary employment applies for 6 months from employment date according to collective agreement
It is advantageous if you:
-Have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people with various types of dementia or mental health issues
-Have worked for an extended period in home care or elderly care facilities
-Speak and write Swedish very well, as you visit clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you must document in client records and read instructions
-Are social, persistent, patient, stress-resilient, proactive, and creative in your work approach
-Can manage stress and plan and structure your work effectively
-Have good local knowledge of inner Stockholm and can navigate using public transportation or on foot

Job Responsibilities
You follow a service schedule and visit clients in their own homes, providing services as approved in their assistance decisions. This includes general and personal hygiene, showering, meal preparation, social activities, cleaning, laundry, errands, accompanying clients to various facilities, and walks. We focus on motivating clients to enable us to carry out services, using various work methods as tools.
We have group leaders and administrators staffing the office during daytime hours whom you can contact during your daily work.
About Us
Stockholm Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that provides services in clients' own homes. The organization also provides companion services, respite care, and residential support.
The organization primarily serves clients with various degrees of dementia, mental health issues, functional disabilities, and substance abuse problems. Depending on your experience, skills, and interests, you may work more specifically with one of these conditions or a mix of them.
We use the time tracking system Paragå where employees log in and out of each client visit using a mobile phone and NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's record. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.
Location and Transportation to Clients
We have clients in 8 different districts and you start and end each shift from Södermalm where our office is located, regardless of which district you are in during the day. You travel to clients using public transportation or on foot (the organization has no vehicles). An SL card (public transit pass) is required for this position.
