Nursing Assistant, Emergency Department, Acute Care Operations USÖ
REGION ÖREBRO LÄN · Full-time
Box 1613, Örebro, Sweden
The Emergency Department at Örebro University Hospital is seeking a nursing assistant with experience in acute care. Our acute care operations area is expanding, and we are now looking for a nursing assistant with extensive experience in acute care who wants to contribute to the future of acute care with us at the Emergency Department. We offer, after structured onboarding, stimulating work within acute care with regular in-house training. The operations are characterized by great commitment, high pace, and close collaboration between different staff categories. As an employee, you are often at the center of events, and your work encompasses both joy and sorrow, illness and recovery, life and death. Operations run 24/7 and include reception for adults and children. The Emergency Department receives patients with care needs in trauma, medicine, surgery, pediatrics, orthopedics, infection, otolaryngology, neurology, and urology. The acute care operations area is one of Örebro University Hospital's largest, with 180 employees and approximately 72,500 patient visits per year with a varied patient flow including pediatrics. Together with you, we want to create the best possible acute care. We have better conditions than ever, and your contribution is important. Job Responsibilities Typical tasks at an Emergency Department where patient-centered care is central, with focus on basic care and assisting work within the team. The team consists of physicians, nurses, and nursing assistants/care assistants. We want to ensure you have a good start in your work with us, so we conduct a stepwise, individually adapted onboarding—meaning you will be trained in the adult acute unit and pediatric acute unit in two separate blocks. After onboarding and workplace training, the Emergency Department's internal career ladder/competency pathway takes effect. The competency pathway is divided into different levels so you can develop in your role as a nursing assistant. Competency development and continued education occur continuously. A training group, consisting of nurse educators and nursing assistant educators, works on planning and developing in-house training. Qualifications We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant with a focus on acute care according to the previous program structure, or are trained as a nursing assistant within the current program structure and have several years of clinical experience in acute care. To assess employability, grades from your care education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of protected professional title must be included in your application. A prerequisite for working at the Emergency Department is the ability to work in a dynamic environment with varying pace, in collaboration with other professions, and always with the patient in focus. You who are applying have a strong drive to develop, good communication skills, enjoy and have a knack for collaboration. You shall provide a safe and professional approach to both patients, next of kin, and colleagues. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and previous experience. Application Your application should include CV, cover letter, grades from care courses completed, and possibly proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of protected professional title. Other certificates, grades, diplomas, etc., should be provided at any interview. If you are or have previously been employed by Region Örebro County, we will obtain internal references from your current or previous manager, if you become a candidate for employment.
