About the operations Are you a nursing assistant interested in surgery and want to develop in a safe, structured and pleasant work environment? We are now seeking nursing assistants for day and evening shifts at department 15 at Falun Hospital, Dahlska House. The Surgery Clinic consists of three clinics and three care units. We work in multiprofessional teams with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, pharmacists, dietitians, physiotherapists and occupational therapists to create an efficient care flow. You will receive a safe introduction, a supportive work climate and access to weekly lectures on patient cases, operations and care among other things. We care for patients in endocrine, vascular, urology, breast and plastic surgery, both pre- and postoperatively, including acutely ill patients. The department currently has 21 care beds and is open 24 hours a day. The goal is to open 24 additional care beds in the fall. Work is done in two shifts (day, evening, weekend, night), two out of five weekends, with individual schedule planning (wish schedule). Work tasks As a nursing assistant, you are an important piece of the puzzle in our goal of providing high-quality care with a focus on patient safety and maintaining a good work environment. You will handle various drains, urinary catheters, measure vital parameters, NEWS checks, neurological checks, head injury monitoring checks and pancreatitis checks. As a nursing assistant, you work close to patients with great focus on basic care, for example: support patients with ADL meet nutritional needs, mobilization, sampling and wound dressing prevent infection transmission through basic hygiene routines and dress codes prevent pressure ulcers and falls venous blood sampling documentation in Cosmic patient records Qualifications Requirements: Trained nursing assistant who has completed the Care and Nursing program or the vocational package Care and Nursing in adult education Merits: Experience in healthcare/current department/surgical care/inpatient care Program specialization in Emergency Care and Medicine 2, Anatomy 1 and 2, and Health and Healthcare 1 and 2 Personal qualities: Your most important asset is your care competence but also your commitment to the operations' patients and working forward in a positive spirit. You take responsibility, collaborate well in teams and communicate confidentially with patients, relatives and colleagues. You work in a structured manner, handle a high pace, make good prioritizations and are solution-focused with the patient's best interest in focus. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
