The small health center with a big heart! With us you get a work environment where doctors are listened to and are involved in influencing both care and the work environment. By your side at the health center you will find good support from competent and happy colleagues. The doctor group consists of physicians with specialist competence in general medicine, internal medicine, and palliative medicine. With us you also work in a team with a specialist nurse for patients with chronic diseases, a rehabilitation coordinator, and a care coordinator for mental health. Access to X-ray and ultrasound is available for certain acute and planned examinations. The health center also has an assessment clinic and an assessment unit. The assessment unit operates in collaboration with ambulance services. It is staffed by an experienced ambulance nurse and can be strengthened with a primary care physician for assessment and treatment on site. The health center in Vansbro is located in the scenic Västerdalarna, with beautiful seasons where ski trails, mountain bike trails, and open water intersect. We have approximately 6,600 registered patients. Work Tasks Working as a physician at a rural health center means working creatively and solution-focused. At the clinic you get more time for examination and assessment to help patients presenting symptoms of multiple diagnoses as well as mentoring for colleagues in training. We offer appropriate and evidence-based care adapted to the local community. Care should be equitable and of good quality, provided close to the population, and reduce the need for travel and hospital admissions. Here there is opportunity to work with everything from our frail elderly to acute situations of the day. The doctor group is a competent team that values good cooperation. We meet regularly and discuss cases, conduct internal training, and discuss current issues. We drive and participate in research projects related to our work tasks. Together we actively work to develop the health center and create good nearby care in rural areas. You participate in a meeting every week with the doctor group via link or in person.
