Junior Physician Before Residency at Neurology Clinic, Danderyd Hospital

We are seeking six unlicensed junior physicians for the Neurology Department at Danderyd Hospital. Since 2020, Neurology at Danderyd has been its own operational unit. Our Employment Offer The Neurology Department encompasses the neurology clinic including the stroke section as well as the speech-language pathology clinic. Within the neurology clinic, we conduct extensive outpatient and inpatient care where we evaluate patients with various neurological symptoms and care for patients with diseases such as Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, MS, stroke, and TIA. Our large patient flows provide opportunities to develop broad knowledge of neurological diseases and their management. More about your benefits Job Description The Neurology Department is staffed with 28 full-time neurology specialists including the department head, 3 specialists in internal medicine, and 20 resident physicians in neurology. We also have several locum junior physicians, both before and after residency. We offer varied duties with ward work and emergency department assignments, and after an initial orientation period, on-call duty around the clock and on weekends is included. We are seeking a physician before residency who is interested in neurology as a possible future specialty. We offer good opportunities for mentoring and education. We work in teams, and it is important that you work well with others, are flexible, and have good communication skills. Qualifications Unlicensed physician. Previous work experience from a neurology or emergency unit is a merit. Personal Qualities We place great importance on personal qualities and teamwork ability. You are flexible, enjoy varied work, and are comfortable both with quick decision-making in the emergency department and planning outpatient evaluation and follow-up.
