We are now looking for a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic at Quant's site in Piteå! We are seeking a driven, engaged, and technically skilled maintenance technician/mechanic who wants to take an active role in our maintenance team at Hitachi Energy in Piteå. Quant in Piteå is growing, and today we have 11 employees in the maintenance team with various specialist competencies. Now we are looking for you who wants to contribute your knowledge in mechanical maintenance work and be part of our team. Your Role In your role as a maintenance technician/mechanic, you will perform ongoing work for emergency and preventive maintenance at our customer Hitachi Energy in Piteå. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role as a technician by working in a production environment with both older and newer machinery equipment. The role suits you if you have good mechanical competence and enjoy working close to machines and processes. The focus is on practical troubleshooting, mechanical maintenance, and improvement work at the facility, where you help maintain and optimize machine performance for our customer. You will be part of a maintenance group consisting of maintenance technicians, maintenance engineers, and electricians, where collaboration and problem-solving are central parts of daily work. Work is scheduled for 2-shift + weekends. Changes may occur in the future. Responsibilities Perform mechanical preventive maintenance according to established procedures Perform corrective maintenance in close collaboration with maintenance colleagues and other support functions to solve acute machine repairs Troubleshoot machines and work analytically to find the root cause of problems Perform machine processing and manufacturing of simple mechanical designs Qualifications Workshop technical training, preferably with a maintenance focus Experience with workshop work and mechanical troubleshooting Technical knowledge and good understanding of processes Good computer skills, as maintenance work is reported in our maintenance system Maintmaster Good problem-solving ability and a structured working approach Initiative and willingness to suggest improvements We are looking for you who have workshop technical training and/or experience in mechanical maintenance work. You are experienced working with mechanical troubleshooting on both older and newer equipment and have a good understanding of technical processes. If you have experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic in industrial maintenance, that is a merit. Personal Qualities You are a thorough and positive person with a service-oriented approach and strong customer focus. You value safety highly, both for yourself and your colleagues, and contribute to order and structure in your work. We also see that you have good problem-solving ability and appreciate collaboration and customer orientation as important parts of succeeding in the role. Since the position involves close contact with the customer, it is important that you communicate and collaborate well with others. You express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing, and you also have knowledge of English. Who Thrives Here?
