At Salico in Långeberga, we're now looking for a maintenance technician who wants to be a key player in our production of fresh cut vegetables, fruits, and meal solutions. About Salico Salico supplies the Scandinavian market with fresh cut vegetables, fruit, bread products, and meal solutions, under our own brands such as Daily Greens and SallaCarte as well as as a contract manufacturer. We have approximately 300 employees and our factory is located in Långeberga in Helsingborg. Our maintenance department plays a crucial role in ensuring that production can deliver – every hour, every day. About the Role As a maintenance technician with us, you'll become an important part of our maintenance department, tasked with ensuring that our production runs smoothly – safely, efficiently, and without unnecessary downtime. Our products are fresh, and customers can place orders the same day the goods are to be delivered. This means that production's needs and priorities can sometimes change on short notice – and that's when it's important that you as a technician can adapt and be there as support, so we can continue delivering fresh products on time to our customers. The role includes, among other things: Prevent, troubleshoot, and remedy technical problems on our production equipment, everything from mechanics and pneumatics to basic electrical and control systems. Perform planned and preventive maintenance according to maintenance schedules, and handle acute production stoppages when they occur Document completed work and troubleshooting in our maintenance system (Maintmaster) Contribute to continuous improvements of equipment, routines, and working methods together with production and maintenance Collaborate with colleagues in both maintenance and production to solve problems and challenges together Follow our procedures for food safety, hygiene, and workplace environment in everything you do Who Are You? We believe you're someone who enjoys solving problems from the ground up. You're comfortable navigating technical documentation and have the ability to find solutions on your own – but you also enjoy using your experience together with colleagues to solve challenges collaboratively. We're looking for you who have: Training as an industrial technician or equivalent experience from technical maintenance work Basic knowledge of electrical systems, such as being able to read and interpret electrical schematics and work respectfully with electricity. Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate about safety and documentation Experience from the food industry or other process industries with high hygiene requirements Be able to work methodically in troubleshooting alone or in dialogue with English-speaking machine suppliers. It's a merit if you also have: Knowledge of automation, PLC, or control systems Experience with pneumatics and/or hydraulics Forklift certification and/or B driver's license Experience working in maintenance systems (Maintmaster) Welding skills (TIG) As a Person, You Are: Engaged and solution-oriented Flexible and confident in adapting when circumstances change Friendly and accommodating, with good teamwork skills Accustomed to viewing production as a customer and understanding your role as their support Curious and unafraid of new technical challenges, with a structured approach to troubleshooting Work Environment You will work in food production, which means you need to follow our hygiene procedures, wear prescribed work clothing, and work in refrigerated environments. Our production operates days, nights, and weekends, which means you need to be prepared to work outside standard daytime hours. You'll be part of a team of technicians where you support each other and share responsibility for keeping production running.
