Maintenance Planner

Växjö Energi's electricity network supplies an entire city with power, every day. Now we are looking for a maintenance planner who wants to plan and coordinate the work that keeps it running. Växjö Energi is the people of Växjö's own energy company and part of Växjö Municipality. We deliver electricity, district heating, and district cooling to the Växjö region, and through the subsidiary Wexnet, fiber to several municipalities in Kronoberg. WORK TASKS As a maintenance planner at Växjö Energi Elnät, you will have a varied and meaningful assignment where no two days are the same. You plan, order, and follow up on the maintenance of our electrical installations with a focus on the local network (0.4-10 kV)—everything from inspections and condition assessments to maintenance of power lines, substations, transformers, protective relays, and cable cabinets. You analyze the technical status of the installations, conduct risk assessments, and plan network outages for maintenance work. The work is largely digitalized and based on IT-based support systems such as NIS (dpSpatial) and the business system IFS. You collaborate closely with colleagues, the control center, technicians, and contractors, and proper documentation is an important part of your daily work. The role also involves participating in improvement and development initiatives and supporting colleagues with expertise and guidance. The electrical network in Växjö is predominantly an urban network (97% cable network and 3% overhead lines), which provides a concrete and varied assignment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with upper secondary education in electrical engineering or technology, combined with relevant work experience. Experience with NIS systems, documentation, and work within electrical power is a merit. You are genuinely interested in electrical network maintenance and thrive in a role where structure, initiative, and collaboration go hand in hand. You find it easy to build relationships and communicate freely with colleagues, contractors, and external partners. When circumstances change, you reprioritize and find practical solutions—independently but never at the expense of the bigger picture. Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required. A security clearance with background check will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
