Do you have current experience in signal technology and want to use your expertise to contribute to a safe and reliable railway? As a maintenance engineer signal, you'll have a varied and independent role where you combine field inspections with monitoring, analysis, and planning in the office. Work Tasks As a maintenance engineer signal, you'll become part of the project team and support the project manager with specialist expertise in signal technology. Together, you'll monitor that the maintenance contract is carried out according to agreements, regulations, and other requirements, and contribute to a safe, robust, and reliable railway facility. The role combines office work with work in the railway facility. A large part of the work involves monitoring, analyzing, and documenting in our IT systems, managing documentation, and participating in meetings. You'll also regularly be out in the facility to monitor its condition and verify the contractor's deliverables. This means you need to be comfortable with both the technical and administrative aspects of the work. You have significant personal responsibility for planning and driving your work within the geographic contract area Boden South - Holmsund including branch lines. At the same time, you maintain close dialogue with the project manager, colleagues, and contractors, and participate in recurring meeting forums. A typical day might involve analyzing errors, deficiencies, and disturbances in the signal system, and identifying the need for corrective measures supporting the project manager and project team with signal technology expertise monitoring the contractor's planned and completed work, both in the facility and through system monitoring holding technical meetings and maintaining ongoing dialogue with the contractor ensuring that work is performed according to agreements, regulations, and other governing documents preparing documentation, documenting, and updating maintenance plans based on the facility's condition contributing to the project's delivery monitoring and financial and forecast work when needed, participating in procurements, investigations, and smaller projects. Qualifications You work in a structured and thorough manner and enjoy switching between technical issues in the facility and administrative work in the office. You take responsibility for documenting, following up, and completing your tasks, and you act when you discover errors or deviations that need to be addressed. You are self-driven and take initiative to move your work forward. At the same time, you collaborate well with others and communicate clearly and professionally. This is particularly important when working with contractors, where you need to be able to conduct technical dialogues, follow up on deliverables, and be clear about what needs to be corrected. We're looking for you with relevant education in railway signal technology multi-year, current, and relevant work experience in railway signal technology practical experience working with signal technology in railway facilities good computer skills and ability to work in various IT systems good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing B driver's license.
