Work Tasks
One of the Swedish Transport Administration's current development initiatives is the establishment of its own development platforms aimed at creating conditions for increased learning and more efficient maintenance. The development platforms have different focus areas, and one of the platforms is dedicated to corrective and preventive maintenance of Mälarbanan (MB).
As a maintenance engineer, you will work together with your colleagues in the project team to ensure the maintenance of the railway facility and follow up on ordered maintenance measures. You will contribute your technical expertise in track engineering, and you will be a crucial resource by being on-site to monitor the condition of the facility. You are a central part of the team's collection of material for improvement proposals, and you will help lead development activities within your area.
The production manager, project engineer, maintenance engineers, contracted consultants, and contractors work together to deliver a safe and accessible railway facility that serves society's needs for travel and transport on MB.
The placement location for this position is Västerås.

We are looking for someone who has
upper secondary education in technology or other educational background combined with work experience that we assess as equivalent
current and relevant experience working with railways and track engineering
good knowledge of Swedish spoken and written
driver's license for a passenger car
It is an advantage if you have
experience in project management and systematic follow-up work against contract requirements
knowledge of construction law
experience and knowledge of BAS-P/BAS-U
