Maintenance Engineer

In the heart of Piteå lies Smurfit Westrock Piteå, one of Europe's largest kraft liner mills. We are now seeking a Maintenance Engineer who wants to work with technical matters for a long-term and sustainable functioning paper mill. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to Support production and maintenance teams with technical expertise Drive improvements and development projects regarding technology and working methods within the maintenance area Conduct investigations and write reports within the maintenance area Analyze operational disruptions, failures, and recurring issues through root cause analysis Ensure that equipment complies with regulatory requirements Document in maintenance systems, Intranet, and document management systems Monitor key performance indicators within the maintenance area Requirements We are looking for someone with a university or civil engineer degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or construction, with several years of experience in maintenance work. You need to have good computer skills and be able to work with computerized maintenance systems. Since we are an international group where you will collaborate with various colleagues within the group, good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing is required. Experience working in projects and experience from the process industry are merits.
