Swenska kraftnät plays a central role in the energy transition and is responsible for Sweden's electricity transmission network. A vital part of this socially critical infrastructure consists of the IT systems and digital services used to control, monitor, and ensure a secure electricity supply. As operations become increasingly digitalized, the need for legal support grows in areas such as IT law, data protection, information management, AI, and cybersecurity. The legal regulation of these areas is an important prerequisite for Svenska kraftnät to fulfill its mission. We are now seeking two in-house attorneys with experience in or interest for digitalization and IT-related matters who want to contribute to a socially important operation. About the Position In the role of In-House Attorney – IT and Digitalization, you will primarily be responsible for providing qualified legal support to the organization in areas such as IT, digitalization, data protection, and information management. You will work closely with the business on both ongoing matters and development initiatives, and you will help ensure that Svenska kraftnät's operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, while enabling future digital solutions in a legally secure manner. The position will also include: legal advice within IT business law and IT contracts support on data protection (GDPR) and information management matters advice on public access and confidentiality as it relates to digital information legal support on matters concerning AI and new technology support in procurements and contract matters participation in investigations and projects with legal implications preparation and review of contracts, governing documents, and legal assessments The role offers a broad legal workday with matters ranging from data protection and information management to AI, digitalization, and IT business law. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the future energy system together with experienced colleagues in both legal and technical fields. As an in-house attorney, you will be part of the In-House Legal unit within the Legal Department. The Legal Department has approximately 30 attorneys. The role is part of the IT Law function, which consists of three IT law attorneys and one data protection officer. About You Mandatory Requirements: Personal Qualities: We are seeking someone who is organized, solution-oriented, and thrives in an advisory role with many contact points. You collaborate well with others while independently driving your tasks forward. You work in a goal-oriented manner and take responsibility for moving legal matters from analysis to well-founded recommendations and solutions. The role demands good judgment, high integrity, and the ability to translate legal reasoning into practical and business-relevant advice. Since the work area evolves with technology, we also see that you are curious and have an interest in new digital solutions and ways of working. You must also live up to the public sector values. Education: Swedish law degree (juristexamen or jur.kand.-examen) You also have: At least several years of experience in qualified legal work from, for example, a government agency, court, law firm, organization, or company experience with IT legal work or other experience that Svenska kraftnät deems relevant, such as matters related to IT, digitalization, or information management very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English Meritorious Education within IT law, data protection, or related field experience from the public sector experience working in an advisory or support function in a larger project organization or operation Good to Know The position is located in Sundbyberg. Opportunity for remote work up to 50%, when work permits. #LI-hybrid. Travel occurs to a limited extent in this position. The position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
