Here we meet people from around the world and help them discover everything from city life and culture to nature experiences and archipelago. We are located in Kulturens hus in central Luleå and offer personal service, inspiration, and guidance for both short visits and longer stays. Here visitors can get brochures, maps, and tips, while they can also discover local profile products in our shop. Each year we meet over 30,000 visitors on-site and also help many by phone and email. We work with the entire Luleå destination, but also with Arctic Sweden, as the city is often a natural starting point for trips further into the region. About the Position We are now seeking part-time tourist information officers who can primarily work weekends during the periods January–May and September–December. There may also be opportunities for extra shifts during illnesses, vacations, and during the summer season. The work is suitable for you if you enjoy meeting people, like service, and want to help create a warm welcome for Luleå's visitors. Before regular weekend shifts begin, you'll receive an introduction and training together with regular staff. The introduction is planned together with you and can sometimes take place on weekdays. 2 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a tourist information officer, you are an important part of the visitor's experience of Luleå. You help people in different situations and guide them to experiences, activities, and attractions in Luleå and the region. The role includes, among other things: • welcoming and guiding visitors at the tourist center • providing tips and recommendations about experiences, activities, and events • answering questions by phone and email • providing information about Luleå and Arctic Sweden as a destination • working at the cash register and selling souvenirs and profile products • handling simple administration and bookings The work is varied and sometimes involves a fast pace where you need to be able to prioritize and switch between different tasks. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements • upper secondary school diploma • very good sense of service and hospitality • good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Merits • good local knowledge of Luleå and its surroundings • experience in tourist information, tourism industry, or other service professions • additional language skills We place great importance on your personal qualities. You enjoy meeting people, can easily adapt to different situations, and keep calm even when the pace is high. You are positive, responsible, and contribute to a good atmosphere in the work group.
